Hosted by the Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC Perfusion Societies, MAVES 2012 is an educational conference that looks at Mechanical Circulatory Support of Heart Failure Patients from a multidisciplinary approach.

The American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion has awarded MAVES 2012 10 Category 1 CEUs.
Applications have been made for CMEs, Nursing Contact Hours, and CRCE credits. Previous MAVES conferences have been awarded 8 credits in each of these categories. So bring a friend and sign-up today!
We have reserved blocks of rooms at Holiday Inn Central, just blocks from the White House! This is a 3-star hotel geared towards the business traveler. If you prefer more luxurious accommodations, there are plenty of other options in Washington, DC and the Crystal City, VA areas.
For those who prefer to avoid driving in Washington, DC, there is a metro (subway) stop right at Reagan National Airport. Public transportation is available to and from Washington Hospital Center. Please see the travel document for more details.
There are plenty of sight-seeing opportunities, including many free/ low-cost festivities relating to the National Cherry Blossom Festival. This year marks the 100th Anniversary so there are even more activities than prior years!
The Virginia Perfusion Society will be holding an informational session and membership drive following MAVES 2012. If you are a Perfusionist working in or living in Virginia and want to learn more about the society and the efforts for Perfusion Licensure, please plan to attend.
